in Gulliver's Travels the Houyhnhnms are portrayed as these pure and kind beings that are so much better than humans to the point that Gulliver cannot stand his own kind anymore but, in many ways, we are better than the Houyhnhnms. Thay don't innovate they made the bare minimum for life and then they stopped. They also don't fell love and have little empathy.

Their inability to love is the main reason were better than them. No love means no empathy no empathy means they well kill each other if there is a benefit. and they leave each other to die if it be inconvenient.
