In WWII the everyday person was hurt the most by the war and that goes for all nations. After the war was over the common people wanted revenge. They started to hold cleansings on people who were friends or lovers to German people. They cut off their hair and then throw random thing at the people being cleansed. As you can tell these cleansing was just some mis guided form of revenge.


This want for revenge might also be connected to the high rate of German orphans. No one wanted a German child in their family. This reputation the German people have gained followed them into the modern day in the form of all the jokes made about them today.
