The Puritan people are commonly treated as cartoon villains for how they acted toward the Indians, but what if I told you that they actually treated the Indians pretty well?

Puritans commonly punished people that attacked or stole from the Indians. Also, the Puritans did not steal the Indians' land; the Puritans got it by fair trade. To put it bluntly, the Indians lived slightly better than cavemen, so they didn't really need or know what to do with all the land they had, so they traded it to the Puritans for stuff like knives and plows.

In fact, the Puritans weren't even racist. They thought the Indians were the same race as them, but their skin was darker because they were in the sun all day. the Indians thought the same way. All tribe's, and even the Puritans, were the same race in their eyes. The Puritans even tended to the Indians' sick, they buried their dead, and they even cared for Indian orphans.
