The naraterter in the (fall of the house of usher) meets with Rodrick Usher who has a Strang condition where everything he experiences feels much more profound than it really is. A single spik of light and it might as well be the middle of the day even his hobby's lake the guitar becomes a burden playing it feel like a reminder of what he to be able to enjoy.


Rodricks condition makes it so that the beauty of the world becomes an unbearable weight on his shoulders. This is likely to be some sort of allegory for mental illness that stops you from seeing the world for what it really is.
